Nominations

Nominations for the 11th Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards will be open in late 2012

Writing a nomination

When writing your nomination, as a suggestion, please start writing it as a separate file, for example, a text file or Word document. This is just in case you make a nomination online and accidently lose information during the online submission process. For example, if you need to make notes first, then please download the PDF version of the nomination form (linked above) to use as a guide.

Choosing a Category; by addressing the eligibility key points for the category you have selected, your nomination has a better chance of being recognised by the Selection Panel.

Write brief bullet points if you find it difficult to write paragraphs. You can fill these out in more detail as you write the nomination.

Try to avoid technical terms and jargon. While you are familiar with your nominee’s work, more than likely the members of the Selection Panel won’t be. Keep that in mind as you describe the nature and quality of their contributions to cycling and accomplishments.

Where possible, include measurable results, such as media articles, reference to strategies, initiatives, events, courses, participation, infrastructure, photographs and testimonials.

With the online nomination form you can upload images and documents up to 5 MB maximum file size. File extensions allowed to be uploaded:

  • For documents: doc, html, odf, pdf
  • For images: gif, jpg, png, bmp, eps, tif, pict, psd
